Cancun Airport Transportation.

There are different ways you can get transportation from the Cancun International Airport and we’ll list you the different options here.

Pre-Booked Private Cancun Transportation.

This is probably your best option going anywhere in Cancun or the Riviera Maya. When you make a pre-booked reservation you’ll get a good rate since there are no additional fees for having booths at the airport for the company. Also you are sure someone will be waiting for you, and what’s best is that you’ll be saving money and time.

Car Rental at the Cancun Airport.

This option can be a good idea depending on what you are planning for your vacations. If you are only arriving to an All Inclusive or have planned to stay at your hotel and chill, you could use the first Private Transportation option.

If your plan is to visit with your family different parts of the Cancun area and the Riviera Maya, this is really advisable.

When you rent a car to have it at the airport, you can do it and the Car Rental company would pick you up at your arrival and take you to their office to sign the contract and give you the car.

ADO Bus.

This is the most Economic way to get to your destination from the Cancun International Airport, but only if the place you are going is close to the Cancun or the Playa del Carmen bus terminal and also depending on the number of people. If you are about 4 people going to one destination, you can check and see if it’s not convenient to book the Private Transportation at the beginning. If you are one, this will depend more on the ride you want to get.

Buses are leaving every 15 to 20 minutes from the airport terminals. One with direction to Cancun downtown and one with direction to Playa del Carmen downtown.

Like we said, if you have a place near the bus terminal, this is convenient, because if not you then have to pay a taxi to the place you are going. In Cancun it can be not that expensive, but in Playa del Carmen or Puerto Morelos or Tulum it can be expensive. And talking  about expensive, if you are going to Tulum, you have to take 2 buses.

Don’t get me wrong, sometimes this option is really good, but you need to know how you’ll get to your final destination.
