Last weekend was a good day for Cancun Airport after so many days of slow arrives and departures Cancun Airport reaches 370 operations the last weekend. This means to much for the company which has been fighting with this difficult situation due to the virus. It seems that after all finally Cancun Airport is recovering. Clearly, it won’t have the same amount of passengers as before soon but the operations are getting better.
ASUR, the company that manages the airport reports 370 operations during Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, 181 flights with 88 arrivals were reported, of which 47 were domestic and 41 international; 93 departures were registered (49 domestic and 44 abroad).

Arrivals and Departures at Cancun Airport
Asur announced the international destinations were: Los Angeles, Miami, Montreal, New York, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Toronto, Atlanta. Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Philadelphia, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, and Havana were on the list too.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, July 26, 189 air operations were scheduled, with 92 arrivals, 56 were from Mexico, and 36 from other countries. There also were 97 departures, 61 domestic and 36 international.
On that day, the international destinations scheduled flights included were: Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Philadelphia, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City.
Cancun Airport is still working with al the health and safety measures to protect passengers. It is also important that you know that Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, Tulum, and all the Riviera Maya are in the orange phase. This means that these destinations are operating only at 30% of their capacity, and strictly following all the protocols.
